Hearth & Olive is a catering company serving up California inspired MidEast & Mediterranean, wood-fired breads, meats & vegetables grilled over white oak charcoal, grains & rice, farmers market inspired mezze, as well as sweet & confections to Southern California. We support local farmers in search for inspiration in creating our interpretation. The secular & religious. Focused on Israeli culture, with a diverse population of immigrants from more than 100 countries we gather influence from Lebanon, Eastern Europe, Israel to Morocco. A vibrant culture created out of conflict & unrest is now emerging as a melting pot of hundreds of different cultures & cuisines with complexity, nutrition & beauty.

Drop-off Catering

Do you want amazing food without all of the cost of a full catered event? This option is great for everything from a simple office luncheon to a very special occasion. We can deliver everything to you with finishing instructions. Or you have the option to hire one of our service staff to assist with setting it up for you. They can help pop in the bbq lamb shoulder. Want to really impress your guests? Hire a chef equipped with our imported konro grills & organic oak charcoal to cook skewers live in front of your guests. Or simply have us send marinated meat straight to you for your grill. The options are endless and simple. No hassle, no frills.

Hearth & Olive offers full private event & wedding catering services. We offer tray passed & placed appetizers as well as abundant & colorful mezze tables. Beautiful Grains, rice & wood fired flatbreads. Imagine a row of Chefs & Konro grills burning white oak charcoaled skewered meats and vegetables. Finish it off with our sweet confections, desserts & even liquid nitrogen ice cream. Ta’im Taco Cart

“Taim means for Tasty in Hebrew”

During the Middle Eastern migration to Mexico in the late 19th-century immigrants brought Shawarma now known as “Al Pastor.” The conquest of the Spanish brought Sonora wheat. Immigrants in Mexico City and Puebla used this heritage wheat for making flour tortillas for their “Tacos Arabes.” Taim Taco uses a freshly milled non-GMO heritage Sonora blended with organic tahini for its hand pressed tortillas. Based in Los Angeles with a large Mexican American and Middle Eastern presence, we celebrate the union and history of these two cultures bringing you “Taim Taco.”

Our party was a Mediterranean theme. The authentic dishes were exactly what Jason delivered. Jason and his crew blew us away. It was a true culinary experience. The mezzes and entrees were not only fantastic and unique, the ingredient was fresh from the farmers market that very same day. Jason added a special touch by preparing the appetizers in front if our guest adding not only great entertainment but a very personal experience for our guest. Insanely brilliant concept here. For my boyfriend’s birthday I wanted something unique, fresh and flavorful and what arrived far exceeded my expectations the food was gorgeously fresh with insane flavor profiles, truly gourmet. I went with the drop off service so I could I save some money and serve in my own family heirloom dishware. I can’t recommend Heath and Olive and Chef Jason enough!
